Simonstown extended their unbeaten run in the FL Division 2 to seven games when comfortably seeing off the challenge of hosts St Michael’s in Carlanstown on Saturday evening.

The game was effectively over as a contest at the halfway stage when the team in sky blue were 4-4 to 0-5 ahead thanks to goals from Hank Traynor (2), Mark McCabe and Padraig McKeever.

Andrew Kearney netted a fifth goal in the second half.
